four months.

24 Nov
yep, this girl turned four months yesterday…
I was just saying how I wish she was still little like a newborn.
but she’s getting to this age where she’s doing more stuff. and it’s so much fun to see her roll over,
laugh more, and try to sit up on her own like a big girl.
She’s been super grouchy today, so I’m surprised she let me take these photos.
She’s also been teething like crazy. Poor girl, I wish I could do it for her so she wouldn’t feel the pain.
Just glad I don’t remember teething, cause it seems terrible.
this girl is such a peach.

Ordinary moments in our ordinary lives

I posted these two gems on my facebook/instagram. Thought I’d share again, because I seriously can’t help it… my baby is dang cute.

** in case you might have been curious, i took these two photos with the vsco cam app.

The holidays are almost here. We are going to Sacramento for Thanksgiving this year! We’ll be going to our friend Matt & Victoria’s brother and sister in laws for dinner. Going to be filled with tons of littles all over the place!

Packing, moving, unpacking…

We have finally finished moving all our things into our new place. There is a million things to do, and of course, it’s hard to do all those things with a baby.

AT&T has been here the last few days trying to set up our Internet and TV. I have been without these things for nearly a week. I am going, just ever so slightly, crazy. It’s really hard to be alone at home with someone who can’t talk without any background noise. Plus some of my favorite mornings are when I catch up on my DVR while Lux sleeps in my arms. But there’s been issues in connections and setting up the services. I hope it’s fixed soon, my sanity depends on it.

Other than, moving, not a whole lot has been going on. I got the new iPhone 5, which I love. I’m excited to have a phone that takes quality photos! Here’s a few just to make it worth your while:

*** I have data on my phone, hence why I’m able to write a post. However, I am coming close to my data cap. I NEED MY INTERNET BACK!!

election day.

I want to take this time to talk about voting today. Not so much about what I believe in–whether I’m red or blue–(I’m actually registered as an Independent, in case you might have wondered). Also, I rarely ever vote for actual politicians, I vote for measures and props. Those are the things that I really feel that matter. At least they’re the things that I really feel my vote counts in.

What I want to talk about today is the right to vote. It wasn’t even 100 years ago that I would have been denied the right to vote because I am a woman. It really wasn’t that long ago, if you really stop to think about it. When I vote, I think about those women who sacrificed their time, safety, and their health to advocate for equality.

It’s for those women why I choose to vote.

I brought my daughter with me to vote. Yes, she’s only 3 months old, and had no idea what on Earth, mommy was doing. But I want her to see that her mother votes. When she gets older I will bring her again, and then I can really teach her what it means and why it’s important. I want her to know how lucky we are.
